Our Story
Our story began when two dear friends formed a cross in our paths (can't thank you enough, Mrs. Rhonda and Mr. Steve). I lived in Cordele at the time and Brandon resided in Fitzgerald. We started talking and soon after had our first date. Our fondness vastly grew stronger for one another. We would spend hours talking on the phone throughout the week, longing for Friday evening so we could spend our weekends together.
After 8 months, we decided it was time to move in with each other, so I packed up my house, grabbed Monk, and began a new chapter in Fitzgerald with Brandon and Zeppelin.
Brandon’s house became a home almost instantly. I loved being beside my person and Monk enjoyed having a brother to play with.
After one year, I reflected on how amazing and blessed my life had been since meeting Brandon and knew it was time to pop the question. A week after our first anniversary I picked a Saturday night to have one of our random karaoke nights, which we would have every few weeks or so, where we shuffle through songs and sing to one another. I decided on this particular karaoke night that I was going to ask him to marry me by singing Just Say Yes by Snow Patrol and that’s exactly how it went down, while brutally murdering the song, I got down on one knee and asked the question...Whether it was to shut me up or possibly the fact he thought my voice was angelic and wanted to lock that sh*t down, obviously, he said "Yes!".
